Abstract. The author studies the process of Buddhism adaptation in Chinese social-cultural space, considers some questions of the interrelations between the categories of Buddhist culture and traditional Chinese doctrines principles, especially Confucianism and Taoism, and analyzes the problem of ethical tradition and rationalistic way of thinking in the context of Chinese Buddhism evolution.
