Abstract. The author presents the art criticism and artistic-aesthetic analyses of the Japanese artist Sachiko Kodama's creative works, pays special attention to kinetic sculptures that use the expressive possibilities of ferromagnetic fluids, reveals the continuity of ferro-fluid art and artistic-aesthetic avant-garde researches of the first half of the XXth century, and shows that nanotechnologies are becoming the integral part of artistic and cultural processes in the modern world.
