MERCANTILISM DOCTRINE FORMATION IN ENGLAND OF THE XVIITH CENTURY

Abstract. The author shows that the XVIIth century was the time of not only military but also economic rivalry of England and Holland, mentions that England won in that struggle largely as the result of the transition to mercantilism as the dominant state doctrine, studies the reasons of this transition, mercantilism essence, and gives the overview of the first works, which created its foundations.
