Abstract. The author discusses the problem of silver age periodization, shows different points of view on this question, analyzing various opinions and basing on extensive evidence base substantiates that silver age in our culture should be considered during the time interval of 1890-1939 taking into account prosperity continuation in alien land, unprecedented in culture world history, manifested in the achievements of the first wave Russian emigrants in 1917-1939.
