INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE: SEMANTICS PROBLEM AND MAIN STRATEGIES CRITICISM

Abstract. Interreligious dialogue is becoming one of the modern era characteristics, however, for all its relevance, it is still a little studied phenomenon which gets experts' controversial evaluations. There is uncertainty and ambiguity in religions dialogue semantics understanding and its tasks comprehension in scientific literature, especially in native one. The author undertakes the attempt to fill this gap and concisely, but widely represents various aspects of this problematics, to solve this problem clarifies the notion interreligious dialogue, which can be used in various senses, analyzes the main strategies of interfaith dialogue and their criticism, and mentions that to understand the essence of contemporary interreligious relations phenomenon it is important to take into account that every religion manifests itself at two levels: theological (principles, doctrinal beliefs foundations and their substantiation) and institutional (social, cultural and political aspects) ones.
