ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES OF AZERBAIJAN MEDIEVAL BRIDGES

Abstract. The author discusses historic bridges architecture formation within Azerbaijan, reveals the factors that affected the architectural-planning and design features of the considered constructions, presents their brief description, analyzes the specific local features of the historic bridges of the world transit routes passing through the territory of Azerbaijan and considers the features, construction techniques and materials stylistically combining these buildings and affecting their formation until the XIXth century.
