Abstract. The authors consider the idea of philosophy purpose in human spiritual life in the context of J. G. Fichte’s philosophy. Philosophic life correlates with the principle of categories "self-movement", cultural universals, which embody the idea of freedom. The genuine philosophical system of freedom is presented as the "image" of reality itself, where only a living organism is the condition for the possibility of free action, which involves the desire of both nature and spiritual life for the conservation of "selfhood", and therefore for the free life of mankind.
Key words and phrases: idea of philosophy purpose, essence of freedom, "spiritual substance" of self-consciousness, nature, philosophical system as organism
