Abstract. The author undertakes an attempt to study the current state of political activity among the young people in the Russian socium, emphasizes political initiatives in the work with the youth, shows the problems that require further resolution, tells that there are tendencies of youth's political indifference, which origins lie in the cognitive vacuum of political consciousness and information vacuum, and mentions that these processes are not compensated by social networks capabilities.
