SOCIAL-ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATIONS IN KAZAKH PRE-KOLKHOZ AUL OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1920S

Abstract. The author considers the social-economic transformations undertaken in the Kazakh aul during the second half of the 1920s and their influence on the transformation of the Kazakhs' traditional way of life, pays special attention to the analysis of the reasons that conditioned the reforms, and tells that the reforms, which main purpose was the egalitarian redistribution of hayfields and pastures in the aul and the confiscation of large bai farms, were not the pre-planned action of the soviet power, and became the logical continuation of the land use policy of the republican leadership, aimed at land resources redistribution for the benefit of the republic indigenous population.
