Abstract. The authors reveal the target problematic questions of political parties' legal rights and liabilities in accordance with both internationally recognized acts and the normative-legal acts of the Russian Federation, determine the differences between the notions subject of legal relationship and legal capacity, as well as the legal aspect of a political party legal personality as applied to the problem of the research, and formulate precise legal criteria and foundations for a political party recognition as the subject of law.
