Abstract. The author considers the question of the connection between freedom and game in philosophical existentialism, shows that freedom is the central category of human existence according to existentialists, though they pay little attention to game, mentions that a lot of well-known researchers, who especially study game from various positions, invariably and almost unanimously define it as a free action, and ascertains that there are two different approaches to the relations between freedom and game in existentialism, and the criterion of difference between them is the recognition or non-recognition of human ability to join transcendent at least intuitively.
