Abstract. The author discusses the completion of the reconstructive processes in Gorny Altai autonomous region by the middle of the 50s of the XXth century, pays special attention to the consideration of agriculture and industry development, demographic processes, and in addition emphasizes the status and functioning of housing and communal services, the development of trade and public catering systems in the region.
