EVACUATION AND RE-EVACUATION PROCESSES WITHIN MIDDLE VOLGA REGION IN 1941-1948

Abstract. The author analyzes the processes of the evacuation and re-evacuation of population in Middle Volga region in 1941-1948 basing on a wide range of archival materials, considers the questions of material-welfare support for the refugees, assistance in their social adaptation, reveals the work activity, public mood of the evacuees in the rear and their relations with local population, and estimates the activity of the authorities that conducted population evacuation.
