DISSENT AND COUNTERACTION TO IT WITHIN SARATOV PROVINCE (1825-1866)

Abstract. The author considers Saratov eparchial authorities' methods of struggle against dissent and sectarianism widespread within the province in the XVII^th-XIX^th centuries, and pays special attention to both police and enlightenment periods, which did not lead to expected results.
