CLERGY AS KITAI-GOROD POPULATION PART IN THE XVIITH CENTURY

Abstract. The article is the interdisciplinary work written at the junction of social history and city history. The author considers one of the privileged classes of Moscow Russia - the clergy - as an integral part of the population of Kitai-gorod - one of the oldest districts of the capital, and makes the conclusion about Kitai-gorod historical functions changes during the XVIIth century.
