KNIGHT INITIATION INFLUENCE ON ITALIAN CITIES SOCIAL AND POLITICAL LIFE IN THE XIVTH-XVTH CENTURIES

Abstract. The author reveals the most characteristic features of knight initiation ritual transformation within the Apennine peninsula urban environment in the XIVth-XVth centuries and pays special attention to this ritual practical application by popolani as certain individuals encouragement for their services to commune or as the indication of an initiated person's belonging to one or another political group.
