M. YA. OSTROGORSKII AND P. N. MILYUKOV ABOUT HUMAN DIMENSION OF PARTY ACTIVITY

Abstract. The author reveals the ideas of the Russian liberalism eminent ideologists of the beginning of the XXth century - M. Ya. Ostrogorskii and P. N. Milyukov - about a personality's role and position in political parties; trying to identify the fundamental differences origins in the thinkers' perception of this subject (Ostrogorskii's pessimistic one and Milyukov's optimistic one), demonstrates the accentuation of various components in positivist theory and methodology by these ideologists, which, in turn, is conditioned by the non-identity of their original value systems and political-worldview attitudes.
