Abstract. The author reveals the theoretical-methodological specific features of social-cultural transformation research, describes this phenomenon not as culture crisis but as crisis-transformation arising during the transition from one culture period to another and suggests the possible variants of this phenomenon research through the analysis of such notions as social-cultural determination, transformation behaviour regularities and manifestation and the specificity of social-cultural transformation results.
