"CHAPAN WAR": THE PHENOMENON OF PEASANT REVOLT WITHIN VOLGA REGION

Abstract. The author reveals the nature of peasant revolt movement phenomenon within Volga region in 1919, which gained the name of chapanka or chapan war and substantiates the reasons, nature and direction of peasant revolt in relation to War Communism policy.
