Abstract. The author describes the history of communicative relations development through the phenomenon of face, demonstrates that face is the topos of socially significant expectations as it is isolated in separate reality with the evolution of ideas about honor in the history of culture and mentions that the contemplation of one's reflection in a mirror means one's face perception experience in social relations vertical.
