FOOD POLICY OF THE ENGLISH GOVERNMENT IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XVIITHCENTURY

Abstract. The authors consider the food policy of England central and local authorities under the reign of the first Stewarts concerning the organization and control over selling grain and bread products at local markets and pay special attention to population provision with food, to the conditions of bread sellers licensing, to food prices and to the organization of granaries and provision stores.
