Abstract. The author considers Moscow and elective nobility service organization and order at the end of the XVIth - the beginning of the XVIIth centuries, traces the changes of the quantity and structure of Moscow and elective nobility on the basis of the comparison of the boyar lists of different years, takes into account the change of elective nobility status at the beginning of the XVIIth century and considers the aspects which haven't been studied so far: social origin of Moscow nobility (their belonging to boyar or non-boyar clans); elective nobility bundling principle.
