R. SCHIFF'S THEORY OF CONCORDANCE IN CIVIL-MILITARY RELATIONS

Abstract. The author analyzes R. Schiff's conception of civil-military relations known as Theory of Concordance, considers its key points and emphasizes that concordance theory essence is the ability of elites, army and population to reach consensus on the following points: social structure of officers; political decisions making process; way of recruitment for the army; military style.
