Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the process of the comprehension of native cultural-industrial tradition as the basis of material culture creation and national social-economic doctrine working out by the Russian society in the XIXth - the beginning of the ХХth centuries. The author gives not only the general characteristic of the problem but also the review of its comprehension in native historiography.
