Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of the transformation of state power and church management relations in the second half of the XVIIth century especially concerning legal, property and interpersonal relations. The author considers the attitude of top church leaders in the person of patriarch Nikon to state policy concerning Russian Church independence limitation from state power control.
