TRADITIONAL COSTUME PHENOMENOLOGY IN MODERN FASHION

Abstract. Modern fashion is in the constant search of fresh ideas for creating new collections. Traditional costume phenomenology is the reflection of all existence aspects: material and spiritual ones and the artistic development of humans, society and culture. Fashion designers frequently refer to ethnic cultures in their search of new. They transform retrospective costume elements thus presenting modernized collections. Famous designers permanently use ethnic motifs in their works haute couture or pret-a-porter.
