CONSULAR RELATIONS ESTABLISHMENT AS THE IMPORTANT FACTOR OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF POLITICAL AND TRADE-ECONOMIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND AUSTRALIA

Abstract. The author considers the short historical period (the end of the XIXth - the beginning of the ХХth centuries) which was marked by the establishment of the consular relations of the Russian empire with Australia and presents the brief information about the life and activity of seven Russian diplomats who held the posts of consuls general, their estimation of the situation in Australia at that moment, their vision of the bilateral relations future and also the analysis of their professional activity results for the Russian-Australian relations development.
