SLAVOPHILES' IDEAS FUNCTIONING WITHIN THE LIMITS OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS IN RUSSIA IN THE 1990S-2010S

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of understanding and using Slavophiles' ideas in modern Russian society. The purpose of the article is to reveal the basic myths about Slavophiles and to show how these myths are used in modern political and social discussions in Russia. The author reveals the problem of Slavophiles' ideas interpretation and perspective in Russian social medium and also the problem of public consciousness bipolarity when all social and political processes are considered in the light of the relations Slavophiles-Westernists.
