Abstract. The author notes some peculiarities of everyday peasants' diet in the Tatar Republic in the 1920s and makes the conclusion that such factors as family size and additional earnings influenced the diet character. Diet quality improvement depended on the existed social-economic situation in the second half of the 1920s.
