DISTILLING MANUFACTURE IN GREAT-RUSSIAN PROVINCES DURING POST-REFORM PERIOD (1863-1894)

Abstract. The author of the article analyzes distilling manufacture development during the operation of Drink Due Regulation (1861), researches the bases of excise legislation and the character of its influence on distilling branch, presents the little-known statistic material which allows revealing the basic achievements and problems of the branch, reveals the influence of struggle against over-distilling organized by the government on manufacture modernization, introduces the significant number of published and non-published sources on the research problem into scientific circulation and makes the conclusion that during the excise period distilling was no longer a by-work, it became a technically perfected branch of industry.
