PROBLEMS OF CRIMINAL EXILE TO EASTERN SIBERIA AT THE END OF THE XIXTH CENTURY ACCORDING TO PERIODICALS

Abstract. The author shows the role of regional press in the development of the problems connected with Siberian exile. The newspapers Siberia and later Eastern Review revealed its scales and malignancy. These periodicals showed the negative influence of exile on all the aspects of the region life. They prepared public opinion for the protest against it and had a lot to do with its cancellation.
