Abstract. The author considers the processes of the transformation of ethnic identity in poly-ethnic environment by Tatarstan example and makes the conclusion that the ethno-cultural identity of the representatives of central-Asian diasporas under the Republic conditions is enriched with the elements of Tatarstan identity.
