ORTHODOX AND SOVIET CULTURES: JUNCTION POINTS OF CULT TRADITIONS

Abstract. The article is devoted to researching the problem of continuity in cult systems. Through the concept cult adherence as culture property the author analyzes the cult reality of the Russian society of last century. By the example of the development of Russian cult reality the question about the mental basis of the Soviet ideological cult is considered. The author joins the cult traditions of Orthodoxy and soviet society finding general points of intersection between them. On the basis of the carried out analysis the conclusion is made about the existence of cult continuity in the course of the cultural development of Russia in the XXth century.
