FIGHTING AT ODER SPRINGBOARD ERLENHOF ON THE 13TH-14TH OF APRIL 1945:

Abstract. The article describes the little known battle southward of Frankfort on the Oder on the 13th-14th of April 1945 during which Soviet citizens were fighting on both sides when the war was coming to an end: the soldiers of the first Byelorussian front against the servicemen of the 1st infantry division of Vlasov's army. The author pays special attention to the operation goals, the parties' forces, to the character and the results of the armed struggle which finished with the victory of the springboard defenders, state restoration and stopping the enemy's attacks.
