EASTERN DESPOTISM CONCEPTION ANALYSIS IN WESTERN EUROPEAN PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT OF NEW TIME

Abstract. The article is devoted to eastern despotism conception analysis as the form of Europocentrism manifestation. The author considers some works of Western European philosophers of the XVIIIth century (L. Montesquieu, P. d'Holbach, A. H. Anquetil-Duperron, N. Machiavelli) devoted to this subject matter and pays special attention to the use of the word East in culture and history. The brief analysis of the change of Europeans' ideas about the East is carried out.
