NAZI GERMANY MILITARY DOCTRINE EVOLUTION AND FAILURE ON THE EVE AND DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR

Abstract. In the article military doctrine creation process in Nazi Germany on the eve of war and its evolution during the war are analyzed on the basis of numerous documents and materials. The main conclusion is as follows: the Second World War corresponded to total war image while the military recipes suggested for it did not allow attaining its positive outcome in reality. This contradiction can be considered as the important factor of Wehrmacht defeat.
