Abstract. In the article the peculiarities of the ethnic structure formation in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the second half of the ХХth century are considered, when ethnic structure radical changes took place in the region under the conditions of urbanization transition. Special attention is paid to the analysis and comparison of the changes in the national composition of the Left-Bank and Right-Bank parts of the south of the Territory and to the comparison of the Khakass and Russian urban population quantity dynamics.
