Abstract. In the article the notion of the readiness to use information-communication technologies as an essential component of person's information culture is considered. The structure of readiness and its levels are discussed. The purposeful formation of readiness and person's information culture as one of the life mechanisms in information society, in the space of person's culture may be achieved only through the informatization of education.
