ABOUT THE VERBAL AND NONVERBAL COMPONENTS OF ASCENDANCY IN THE HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL RELATIONS

Abstract. In the article the verbal and nonverbal components of ascendancy are considered. They are voice tone, speech, face, hair, clothes, behavioural pattern and others. The authors give the bright examples of oratory. It is shown that the effect of speech always had a great potential. The article says that if we consider the history of political rhetoric we shall find the skill of using words with talent and of working with speech carefully and that was always the important component of verbal impact. Besides in the article nonverbal components such as charisma, costume, accessories are considered. Interesting historical and modern examples are given.
