SUPERSTITION IN LEGAL CUSTOMS OF RUSSIAN VILLAGE (THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIXTH CENTURY)

Abstract. The contents of superstitions in legal customs of Russian village of the second half of the XIX century are represented in the article. The nature and the role of folk legends in searching criminals, rural justice and peasant lynch law are researched.
