CRIMINALITY AS A SOCIAL-LEGAL PHENOMENON IN THE 1920S: TENDENCIES AND CONDITION

Abstract. The criminality of the period of NEP as a social-legal phenomenon is analysed. The tendencies of its development, quantitative and qualitative characteristics are revealed. It is shown that in the first half of the 1920s violent actions such as criminal gangsterism and crimes against a person prevailed and from the middle of the 1920s the leading position was occupied by malfeasances and property crimes.
