Abstract. The paper is devoted to the description of such a parameter of discursive hybridity as intertextuality in works of bilingual authors using the example of poetic texts of the Italian-American poet Adeodato Piazza Nicolai. The aim of the paper is to identify and describe the figures of intertext in hybrid texts that most fully reflect the cultural code of the migrant poet. The novelty is determined by the attribution of the category of intertextuality to the parameters of discursive hybridity within the framework of migration linguistics research, as well as by the fact that it is the first time that the creative work of the Italian-American poet A. Nicolai is considered in Russian linguistics. The results of the study have shown that the problem of discursive hybridity is the problem of textual mixture, heterogeneity at different levels of the text, often considered by researchers as a polycode phenomenon. Among the parameters of discursive hybridity in the creative work of the bilingual author, the category of intertextuality appears to be dominant. The Italian-American poet uses such figures of intertext as citation, allusion, titles of poetic texts, which have ambivalent character, epigraphs, which can include double intertextuality. In addition to intertextual figures, the author actively uses paralinguistic means such as non-standard text segmentation, variation of fonts, mathematical symbols. The sources of intertextuality are represented by references to Greek mythology, classical and modern Italian literature. The author dialogues with famous poets, philosophers, political figures and journalists, freedom fighters. The individual-author intertextual codes of the bilingual poet are part of the discursive hybridity of his works and most fully reflect the cultural code of the migrant writer, which defines his ethno-cultural determinant “italianità”.
