Abstract. The book under review analyzes the genre of collective monograph which comprises the articles of the modern researchers studying the life and creative work of A. P. Chekhov according to the discussion principle ‘pro et contra’ with the classicists of Czech studies. Such discussion is requested by the time and actualized in the new anthology discourse.
