Realisation of the Linguocultural Type "Physician-Surgeon" in the Russian Linguistic Consciousness (by the Material of Internet Comments)

Abstract. The study is aimed at determining the features of the linguocultural type "physician-surgeon" in the Russian linguistic consciousness, using the material of Internet comments. The paper identified the main dictums of comments (gratitude and wishes), as well as the specific characteristics of the type "physician-surgeon", including the idea of a "miracle", asceticism and heroism. Scientific novelty of the study lies in considering the linguocultural type "physician-surgeon" as an independent concept, formed and fixed in the national linguistic worldview. As a result, it has been proved that the type "physician-surgeon" represents a separate group, which is opposed to other medical specialists. Internet comments realise the idea of a surgeon being a specialist possessing a divine gift, an ascetic, a professional and a heroic figure.
