Linguo-Psychological Analysis of Female Characters in the Works of the Scottish Poetesses of the XX Century

Abstract. The aim of the study is to determine the significance of female characters’ gender linguo-psychology in the creative work of the Scottish poetesses of the XX century. The scientific novelty lies in the consideration of the debatable aspects of the main scientific approaches to gender studies in the English-language literature. Female characters in the works of the Scottish poetesses of the XX century have been analysed in detail from the point of view of gender linguo-psychological characteristics. The article presents the data of systemic, feminist methods of analysis and the method of gender linguo-psychological research. As a result of the study, on the basis of several analytical methods, the key arguments and differential features of female and male linguistic means of expression have been identified by the example of the Scottish poetry of the XX century.
