Realia Names as a Qualitative Parameter of Text Complexity (by the Material of the Unified State Examination in the Russian Language)

Abstract. The aim of the paper is to determine the types of cultural words functioning within and excluded from the Unified State Examination in the Russian language, as well as their number in examination texts. Scientific novelty lies in developing a technology for modifying original texts according to the requirements of examination discourse. As a result of the study, it has been found that realia names are intentionally excluded from the secondary examination text in the process of text adaptation and that their total number does not exceed 5%, thus contributing to the correct interpretation of the text by the graduate during the examination.
