Abstract. The paper is devoted to the study of podcasts as a new discursive practice in the Russian media space. The study aims to determine the specifics of discourse-forming parameters of podcasts. The paper ascertains that these parameters are formed taking into account technological and communicative characteristics of podcasts. The study is novel in that it is the first to consider podcasts as a new discursive practice in the Russian media environment, to identify and describe their main discourse-forming characteristics. As a result of the analysis, it has been proved that the content of each parameter contains an interactive component that determines the demand for podcasts in the digital environment.
