Contrast-Comparative Characteristics of Acoustic Features of the Sound [a] in the Tatar and Kazakh Languages

Abstract. The article is devoted to the experimental study of the articulation characteristics of the sound systems of the related Tatar and Kazakh languages using the example of the vowel sound [a]. The aim of the study is to identify the specifics of using the studied sound in different positions from the point of view of its articulatory characteristics. Despite the fact that a lot of works have been devoted to studying the phonetic systems of the compared languages, the issue of comparative analysis of the length, strength and frequency of the studied sound by the material of the Tatar and Kazakh languages using the Speech Analyzer program is tackled for the first time, which is the scientific originality of this research. As a result of the linguistic material analysis, it was possible to determine the specifics of the indicators of the length, strength and frequency of the sound [a] in different positions by the material of the Tatar and Kazakh languages.
