Suffixal Way of Military Terms Formation in the Finnish Language

Abstract. The paper analyzes Finnish military terms formed by suffixation. The article introduces a semantic classification of Finnish suffixes participating in the formation of military terminology. For the first time, the researcher identifies Finnish suffixes most frequent in military terminology, proposes their semantic classification, and herein lies scientific originality of the study. The research findings are as follows: the author identifies ten Finnish suffixes highly productive in the formation of military terms.
