Abstract. The purpose of the research is to identify the most productive ways of neologism formation in the modern English-language media-political discourse. The research is novel in that it is the first to study and classify neologisms formed in the political media discourse in 2018-2020 in accordance with political trends to provide a comprehensive picture of how the English language has changed over the past few years. As a result, the researchers have determined productive ways of neologism formation, described their grammatical and semantic features, and identified thematic groups of neologisms that reflect the current socio-political situation.
Key words and phrases: неологизм, словообразование, политический медиадискурс, английский язык, neologism, word formation, political media discourse, English language
